STANDARD TRUSS SYSTEMThe Standard Truss system is a fully customizable cladding system which creates the appearance of a handset application. The Standard Truss system can be used on most projects, including those with long spans and those that require higher wind and seismic tolerances. When fabricating the frame for the standard truss system, three to four inch long steel angle clips are welded to the frame. These angle clips have access holes for the mechanical T31 anchors which are used to attach the selected cladding material.
Once all welding is complete, the frame is coated to prevent rust and deterioration. The T31 anchor is then inserted into a curved slot routed into the back of the cladding material and the cladding material is attached to the frame. A washer, lock, and nut secure the cladding anchors to the clip angles. Shims between the angle clips on the back of the cladding material can be adjusted to accommodate frame tolerances and to ensure the face of the cladding material is in the correct finished plane. Silicone is inserted into the anchor holes and the mechanical connection anchor slots to keep them from being filled with debris and moisture, further preventing corrosion and deterioration.
