An original founder, Chris has filled the role of Project Executive and estimator for 27 years. During this time, he has directed the preparation and presentation of over $600 million in estimates and has successfully managed active contracts of over $70 million in often complicated stone projects. Chris oversees the company's estimating and design implementation and remains intimately involved with all major projects throughout the preconstruction phase.
"I enjoy the natural camaraderie and family like atmosphere created at KEPCO+," says Chris. "I believe our ability to genuinely enjoy working with one another builds a spirit of teamwork which positively affects our quality of work." Chris originally studied political science and business at the University of Utah, but he put aside his political pursuits in 1985 when he joined his brother Bruce at the Knaphus Exterior Panel Company, or KEPCO+. The commencement of KEPCO+ marked a continuation of the Knaphus family stone and tile tradition as both Chris and Bruce worked at their father's tile and stone business for over ten years, gaining valuable experience in every aspect of the industry, including field installation, estimation, and project management. |
