As part of a renovation to this century old structure, KEPCO+ installed slabs of Buff Limestone weighing 1800 pounds on the east elevation to create a new entrance.  Each slab was honed and then laser etched, making this the largest laser stone etching project in the world.  KEPCO+ also installed an interior three-story spiral stone staircase.  To create the look of cubic stairs while respecting the weight limitations of the historic structure, a steel framework pan system was constructed.  The seamless look of the staircase was achieved by utilizing a thin tread and riser assembly comprised of Dovewhite Limestone.
