Two hundred and four terra cotta-clad panels ranging in weight from 800 to 8,400 pounds were installed during this historic renovation and seismic upgrade.  Panelized portions of the rotunda drum include the lower balustrade, the upper newel posts, the upper balustrade, window hoods, cornice, and columns.  Each radial truss panel is engineered to incorporate both new and restored terra cotta while maintaining the original rotunda drum dimensions and blending harmoniously with the handset terra cotta as well as the pieces that were never removed.
